About the position

7-Eleven, Inc. is seeking a Technical Product Manager for AI/ML to join our Digital team in Irving, TX. This role is pivotal in reimagining how consumers perceive convenience and will lead the development of innovative experiences that will not only transform our business but also shape our digital future. As a Technical Product Manager, you will define product strategy, develop, launch, and enhance products and services that drive our business forward. You will work closely with the engineering team to lead the development of groundbreaking AI/ML products by defining product requirements and coordinating resources from key stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include identifying and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) as you build these transformative experiences. The ideal candidate is a highly organized self-starter with a deep technical understanding of emerging technologies, particularly AI/ML, and a passion for user experience. You will be responsible for translating business goals and end-user needs into product strategy, communicating direction and product priorities to the development team and other stakeholders. You will manage and groom the product backlog, ensuring that product directions balance user needs with business goals, such as driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong focus on collaboration, as you will work with cross-functional teams to drive value and resolve impediments, while also advocating for the end user and stakeholder needs. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to influence the design and implementation of AI/ML algorithms and models, staying updated with the latest advancements in the field. You will also guide junior team members in strategy and execution tasks, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy and communicate direction and priorities to the development team and stakeholders.
  • Manage and groom the product backlog, making decisions based on value delivery.
  • Work with user research and testing teams to formulate and refine product assumptions through testing.
  • Create, prioritize, and accept user stories for release planning.
  • Participate in and lead standups, iteration planning sessions, product demos, and retrospectives.
  • Leverage technical knowledge to influence the design and implementation of AI/ML algorithms and models.
  • Foster collaboration with team members to drive value and resolve impediments.
  • Guide junior team members in strategy, alignment, analysis, and execution tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in digital product management with a focus on AI/ML technologies.
  • Proven track record of developing complex technical products.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, including machine learning algorithms, data processing, and model evaluation.
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks and cloud platforms is a plus.
  • 2-3 years of experience in design thinking, customer empathy, agile/scrum methodologies.

  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., MBA, Product Management certifications) preferred.
