About the position

The Technical Product Manager and Advocate (Rust) at AdaCore is responsible for driving the GNAT Pro for Rust product forward, ensuring it meets customer needs and stands out in the marketplace. This role involves advocating for Rust within the user base, identifying new opportunities in relevant industrial domains, and representing AdaCore in the Rust community. The position also includes mentoring service-team members and collaborating with various teams to achieve product goals.

Responsibilities

  • Driving GNAT Pro for Rust forward by identifying capabilities that will enable us to meet customer needs.
  • Advocating for Rust within our user base to people currently using C/C++.
  • Identifying new potential opportunities in relevant industrial domains.
  • Being the face of AdaCore in the Rust community by ensuring proper representation and identifying potential opportunities.
  • Mentoring service-team members in Rust as we build up our Rust-related service offerings.
  • Communicating daily with other members of the product-management team, sales, engineering, and marketing to ensure product goals are realized.

Requirements

  • Master in computer science or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in the software industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management.
  • Deep knowledge, experience and passion for Rust.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Confidence working with stakeholders, including executives, across the company.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of other high-integrity programming languages such as Ada and C/C++.
  • Comfortable with a Unix development environment (git/svn, shell, etc.).
  • Experience using the Python programming language in a production environment.
