About the position

The AWS Cloud Intelligence (CI) organization is on a mission to build and enhance products that automate and streamline resources utilized by AWS Global Sales. This initiative aims to improve efficiency and productivity, accelerate sales motions, drive the adoption of AWS Cloud Services and Programs, and significantly enhance the bottom line. We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and results-oriented leader who will take ownership of products that fundamentally optimize, automate, and streamline AWS Global Sales (AGS). Our products empower AGS to focus on our customers worldwide, providing proactive and data-driven recommendations as a trusted advisor and business partner, aligned with the customers' core use cases, problems, and needs. In this role, you will thrive in an ambiguous environment, identifying customer pain points and needs, defining product strategy and roadmap, and developing workback plans to deliver on a committed schedule. You will collaborate with multiple cross-organizational stakeholders, including UX, engineering, science, and legal teams, to deliver high-quality products that intersect software, data, and generative AI. Key responsibilities include engaging with AWS Global Sales to understand their pain points and needs, defining customer personas and journeys, identifying critical use cases and opportunities, and brainstorming related product ideas. You will author well-researched and detailed working backwards documents to review product ideas with senior executives, define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and articulate clear product requirements and UX. Additionally, you will define product goals and success metrics, manage prioritization, and evaluate trade-offs while being the voice of the customer. You will work directly with cross-functional teams to execute the roadmap and manage obstacles to achieve objectives. Furthermore, you will own business reporting for senior management review on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, collaborating with data teams as necessary. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with data analytical capabilities, will be essential to drive business decisions and measure success.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with AWS Global Sales to understand pain points and needs in the sales function, define customer personas and journeys, identify critical use cases and opportunities, and brainstorm related product ideas.
  • Author well-researched and detailed working backwards documents to review product ideas with senior executives, define product vision, strategy and roadmap, and articulate clear product requirements and UX.
  • Define product goals and success metrics, manage prioritization, and evaluate trade-offs.
  • Be the voice of the customer, working directly with cross-functional teams to execute on the roadmap and manage obstacles/blockers to achieve objectives.
  • Own business reporting for senior management review on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, working with data team(s) where necessary.
  • Leverage strong written and verbal communication skills, and data analytical capabilities to drive business decisions and measure success.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience as a product manager or owner
  • Experience owning technology products
  • Knowledge of key customer experience metrics and methodology (e.g., NPS)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
  • Experience in using statistical analysis to identify issues or opportunities for improvement
  • Experience in delivering end-to-end customer research studies, including study design, fieldwork (qualitative research moderation and survey execution), analysis, recommendations, reporting and presentation of results to senior leadership
  • Proven track record of shipping complex/high quality, enterprise-scale software products/services
