About the position

The Technical Product Manager for Data Projects is responsible for overseeing the delivery of data-related projects, including data engineering, data warehousing, and business intelligence reporting. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and program management skills, with a focus on client engagement and project execution. The ideal candidate will have a background in technical roles and will be expected to manage project budgets and financials while maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage data projects including data engineering, data warehousing, and business intelligence reporting.
• Oversee project execution and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Engage with clients to present project updates and maintain transparent communication.
• Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling within client accounts.
• Determine team capacity and utilization for project assignments.
• Identify and mitigate project risks effectively.
• Manage contract financials and budgets associated with projects.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in project management, specifically in the data space.
• Solid experience managing data engineering, data warehousing, and business intelligence reporting projects.
• Experience with Agile methodology and running Scrum processes.
• Strong project management skills including planning, execution, and risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal oversight.
• Experience in the life insurance industry is a plus.
