About the position

The Technical Product Manager will lead the development and management of innovative technology products at CannonDesign. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between engineering teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that products meet customer needs and align with strategic goals. The position encompasses the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Digital Products Director to develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to inform product direction.
  • Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap outlining key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leverage technical background to make informed decisions about product architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Drive the end-to-end product development process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Advocate for the customer by understanding their needs, pain points, and behaviors.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor product performance and make informed decisions about product improvements.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and launch plans for new products and features.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product management processes and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years related experience required, with 5 years as a Technical Product Manager.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager or similar role in a technology-driven company.
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development processes, APIs, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and industry-standard management tools required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters/Advanced degree preferred.
  • PMI-ACP and/or DASM certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Services and Microsoft Planner preferred.
