About the position

As a Technical Product Manager - Enterprise Data at Hagerty, you will lead the roadmap and development of data-centric products, collaborating closely with enterprise data teams. This role is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction of Hagerty's data platforms, ensuring data is managed as a corporate asset through robust governance and automation. You will oversee the implementation of solutions that enhance data quality and reporting capabilities, driving real-time decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define and prioritize the product roadmap, balancing scope and delivery plans.
  • Define developer-ready requirements and prioritize product enhancements based on ROI, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Maintain a well-groomed product backlog, ensuring clarity, completeness, and readiness for development sprints.
  • Partner with engineering and architecture to ensure compliance with established technical standards.
  • Uphold rigorous quality standards throughout the product development lifecycle, overseeing testing procedures.
  • Define key metrics and KPIs to measure product performance and conduct regular analyses to inform decision-making.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on product offerings, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, specifically within the Enterprise Data Warehouse space or SaaS industry.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with the design and implementation of data pipelines for operational and financial reporting analysis.
  • Proven experience managing large scale development efforts in a data & analytics workstream role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of managing and implementing complex data-centric and/or software products from concept to launch.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment with a solid understanding of software development methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile software delivery practices.
  • Experience with Cloud development (AWS), Apache Airflow, Snowflake, data cataloging tools such as Atlan, and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
