About the position

The Technical Product Manager for Equities at IEX will lead the development and growth of equity products, leveraging a deep understanding of the equities market and product management expertise. This hybrid role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to define the IEX Platform roadmap and ensure the delivery of innovative solutions that align with the company's core values of fairness and transparency.

Responsibilities

  • Working on a cross functional team of QA, Developers, Engineers, Project and Product Managers
  • Define IEX Platform roadmap
  • Develop and run platform team aiding in design and development of requirements
  • Reporting into the Head of Exchange Product, providing exchange leadership with updates on progress and goals of deliverables
  • Ability to define and track KPIs and OKRs to measure against each product release

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of product management experience working in a highly technical environment
  • Former developer, engineer or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of Agile best practices and adaptability to different team structures
  • Comfortable discussing and critiquing technical design details with engineers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of DevOps best practices and continual process improvement
  • Experience with high performance, low latency trading systems
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Critical thinking skills; able to take feedback and transform it into strategic action

  • Keen interest in equity derivatives market structure and functionality
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with independently driven work within a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to dive into and work through details across cross functional teams while driving high level vision and strategy
  • Not afraid to hold individuals accountable
  • Strong technical design and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with Linux command line
