About the position

The Technical Product Manager will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of new products and features, aligning with the vision and direction outlined in the product roadmap. This position requires a deep understanding of technical aspects, particularly in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS, to effectively collaborate with the development team and provide necessary technical assistance. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject-matter expert in Telco, SRE, and Operations, leveraging their technical background to bridge the gap between product management and technical development. In this role, the Technical Product Manager will be responsible for clarifying product goals and roadmaps, overseeing backlogs, and managing functional user stories, including those related to technical debt. The candidate will gather feedback from product users to ensure that the product meets their needs and will prioritize this feedback in the roadmap. Additionally, the Technical Product Manager will assist the development team in clarifying requirements and understanding the business side of product development. The position also involves creating release plans and distributing tasks among team members. Effective communication is crucial, as the Technical Product Manager will be responsible for updating internal and customer stakeholders on product status, ensuring alignment on features, functionality, deadlines, and any roadblocks that may arise.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the enhancement and development of new products and features according to the product roadmap.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert in Telco, SRE, and Operations to bridge the gap between product and technical development.
  • Review incident dashboards and application dependencies to analyze incident data and identify root causes.
  • Clarify product goals, roadmaps, and oversee backlogs.
  • Set and manage functional user stories and stories concerning technical debt.
  • Gather feedback from product users to ensure the product meets their needs and prioritize this feedback in the roadmap.
  • Assist the development team in clarifying requirements and understanding the business side of product development.
  • Create release plans and distribute tasks to team members.
  • Communicate product status with internal and customer stakeholders to ensure alignment on features, functionality, deadlines, and roadblocks.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience with AWS (Required)
  • 3 years of experience with Spring Boot (Required)
  • 3 years of experience with Microservices (Required)
  • 4 years of experience with Agile methodologies (Required)
  • 3 years of experience with Java (Required)
  • Ability to commute to Irving, TX (Required)
  • Willingness to relocate to Irving, TX before starting work (Required)
