About the position

The Technical Product Manager for Human Computation Platforms at Bloomberg's CTO Office is responsible for leading the generative AI-powered human-in-the-loop automation strategy. This role involves ownership of a suite of infrastructure, growing Generative AI services, and building new features to enhance collaboration between humans and AI. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, working in a cross-functional environment with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute on a strategic technical product vision for human-AI collaboration powered by generative AI.
  • Serve as the technical product manager for AI-augmented annotation platforms and services.
  • Conduct research on best practices for human-AI collaboration, focusing on both technical and human factors.
  • Collaborate with the CTO office, Engineering, and the Data Department on company-wide initiatives with visibility to top executives.
  • Develop a long-term vision and roadmap for AI-powered annotation platforms and services, incorporating advances from academia and industry.
  • Translate product roadmap features into testable user stories and acceptance criteria, managing priorities and resources effectively.
  • Engage with end users and partners to understand workflows and technical requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to map business requirements to technical vision and increase service capabilities.
  • Operate in an Agile environment, continuously reviewing business needs and refining priorities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with technical product management or technical leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience with AI-powered annotation platforms, human computation, crowdsourcing, or a related field.
  • Engagement with the research or open source community around human computation.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with engineers, data scientists, and senior management.
  • A product-driven focus with a track record of shaping business strategy and roadmaps for technical products.
  • Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) or equivalent experience in a computing discipline with a specialization in machine learning or human computation.
  • Experience performing high-quality research.

Nice-to-haves

  • A good understanding of financial markets, instruments, and products.
  • Open source involvement or community presence.
  • Exposure to Bloomberg Terminal and/or enterprise data products.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary ranging from $140,000 to $295,000 annually.
