About the position

Care.com is a consumer tech company dedicated to solving the human challenge of finding great care for loved ones. As a Technical Product Manager II focused on Trust & Safety, you will play a crucial role in delivering initiatives that enhance our value proposition centered around trust and safety. This position requires a candidate who thrives on challenges and can navigate complexity to develop data-driven recommendations. You will be responsible for transforming qualitative customer feedback into quantitative insights that inform strategic decisions. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive urgency and alignment across various stakeholders. In this role, you will identify and measure current trust scenarios and risk exposure, explaining how these factors impact our diverse user groups. You will prioritize solutions based on user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility. Leading key projects, you will partner with teams across Trust & Safety Operations, Customer Care, Policy, Legal, Engineering, and other product teams to mitigate brand risk. Your work will involve building, launching, and improving new and existing features, ensuring the integrity of product data, and facilitating post-analysis learning. You will create detailed product and testing requirements powered by metrics and OKRs, collaborating cross-functionally to drive business results. The ideal candidate for this position will have 3-5 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years specifically in Trust & Safety. You should be comfortable addressing ambiguous technical problems and working closely with engineering teams. Experience with Machine Learning and AI tools, as well as a quantitative degree in mathematics, engineering, or computer science, is preferred. You will need to demonstrate a strong team orientation, the ability to generate creative ideas backed by data, and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with both front-end and back-end work is essential, as you will collaborate with a full-stack development team to build features.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and measuring current trust scenarios and risk exposure and explaining how that exposure affects our various user groups.
  • Prioritizing solutions based on user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
  • Leading key projects, partnering with T&S Operations, Customer Care, Policy, Legal, and Engineering, and other product teams across Care.com to help mitigate brand risk.
  • Working on a product team to build, launch, and improve new and existing features.
  • Ensuring the availability and integrity of product data and facilitating post-analysis learning.
  • Creating detailed and clear product & testing requirements powered with metrics and OKRs.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to drive business results.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of product management experience.
  • 3+ years of Trust & Safety experience.
  • Capable of driving clarity while balancing multiple perspectives and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable diving into ambiguous technical problems, working closely with engineering teams.
  • Experience working with Machine Learning and AI tools and partnering with Data Scientists to glean insights from data and build models that scale.
  • A quantitative degree (mathematics, engineering, computer science) is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment, preferably a consumer-focused or marketplace service.
  • Experience developing product and user interface requirements.
  • Ability to think strategically and implement methodically.
  • Strong team-orientation.
  • Ability to originate new creative ideas that are backed by data and to communicate those ideas to the team.
  • Detail-oriented, results-oriented & well organized with excellent follow-through.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiar with both front end and back end work, working with a full stack development team to build features.
