About the position

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager III to join the TAAP (Travel Advisor Affiliate Program) team, responsible for developing technology that helps millions of travelers find the best hotel and flights at the right time for their next unforgettable trip. We believe that great changes begin with individuals who are given the freedom to make a difference, and we champion this within the Expedia Demand Partner Solutions Engineering team. We have a passion for exploration and a keen focus on getting better every single day, and we aren't afraid to try new things and learn from our mistakes. In this role, you will be leading highly visible projects across multiple engineering teams in the B2B side of Expedia Group. This includes analyzing requirements, defining use cases and system interactions, as well as timely and clear communication. You are not only a technology enthusiast but also an experienced agile practitioner.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as the Agile Product Owner for an agile team, building and owning product backlog.
  • Accountable for technical product delivery for cross functional projects for multiple delivery teams while driving team velocity.
  • Set the short-term and long-term strategy for your products and evangelize that vision within the organization.
  • Conduct business analysis on proposed improvements to our products, including review, forecasting, and planning for measurement and reporting.
  • Seek and consolidate product feedback to help in the prioritization of engineering effort and story planning.
  • Facilitate trade-off decisions between investment, schedule and customer benefit.
  • Build collaborative relationships with engineering teams and leaderships across different brands in Expedia, including providing input into their roadmaps.
  • Capture detailed business opportunities from internal clients and turn them into the epics and stories that set the direction for engineering teams.
  • Promote thinking about the why and what of new features and products.
  • Evaluate third-party product capabilities and arrange integration where it makes sense.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in a technical domain including engineering, design and coding.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively, build strong relationships, and collaborate with key team members and peers.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to highly engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
  • Full product line life cycle management experience, including user acceptance testing, launch, and end of life processes.
  • Ability to lead teams through issue resolution and risk management.
  • Expand our skills in building highly scalable solutions, while influencing others and raising the bar on the overall level of excellence within the team.
  • Work in an environment where sophisticated, clean, maintainable code is favored over messy hacks.
  • Share our knowledge with each other and learn new things.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with travel technology or related industries.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Paid time off and Employee Assistance Program.
  • Wellness & travel reimbursement.
  • Travel discounts and an International Airlines Travel Agent (IATAN) membership.
  • Competitive salaries and growth opportunities within the company.
