About the position

The Technical Product Manager III at Blue Origin plays a pivotal role in shaping the digital infrastructure that supports the company's mission of advancing space technology. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative products that enhance user experiences and drive adoption within the organization. The role requires a strategic vision and leadership to define and execute product strategies from ideation through launch and scale, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with customer needs and Blue Origin's mission.
  • Champion the customer's voice throughout the product lifecycle by engaging with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Own the product roadmap, making data-driven decisions to prioritize features and enhancements based on customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate closely with UX, engineering, and customer teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Proactively identify potential risks to product performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch, acting as a product evangelist.
  • Coordinate product and feature releases, defining release criteria and ensuring readiness across all teams involved in the launch process.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and leverage data for informed decision-making.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on product progress, changes, and risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating product processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 4-6 years of product management experience with a proven track record of managing products through their entire lifecycle.
  • Strong experience with Lean, Agile, and Scrum methodologies, and proficiency with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience working closely with UX design and software engineering teams, with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to leverage data for decision-making and product prioritization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Experience with aerospace software development processes and frameworks.
  • Experience with manufacturing or supply chain systems.
