About the position

As a Technical Product Manager at Blue Origin, you will be instrumental in shaping the digital infrastructure that supports the company's mission to enable millions of people to live and work in space. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative products that enhance user experiences and drive adoption within the organization. You will define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with customer needs and Blue Origin's mission.
  • Champion the customer's voice throughout the product lifecycle by engaging with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Own the product roadmap, making data-driven decisions to prioritize features and enhancements based on customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate closely with UX, engineering, and customer teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Define detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development efforts.
  • Proactively identify potential risks to product performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Coordinate product and feature releases, including defining release criteria and ensuring readiness across all teams involved in the launch process.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on product progress, changes, and risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating product processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to inform product strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 4-6 years of product management experience with a proven track record of managing products through their entire lifecycle.
  • Strong experience with Lean, Agile, and Scrum methodologies, and proficiency with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience working closely with UX design and software engineering teams, with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to leverage data for decision-making and product prioritization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Experience with aerospace software development processes and frameworks.
  • Experience with manufacturing or supply chain systems.
