About the position

Mediavine is seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to join our Engineering team. This role serves as a vital bridge between technical execution and product strategy, ensuring the successful delivery of features and projects for our ad management platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and will focus on translating complex technical requirements into actionable tasks while managing cross-functional relationships with engineering leadership and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of technical projects within the product lifecycle process.
  • Define clear project milestones, timelines, and dependencies, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Partner closely with individual contributors, engineering leadership, and stakeholders to align technical product strategy with broader company goals.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and regular updates to maintain transparency.
  • Work with engineering teams to break down complex technical features into detailed, actionable requirements.
  • Lead refinement sessions, ensuring clarity and completeness of requirements before development begins.
  • Define and track KPIs for features and technical projects, using data-driven insights to monitor performance and recommend iterations.
  • Develop and maintain a high-level view of priorities that balances long-term technical goals with immediate business needs.
  • Identify and address technical risks that may impact project timelines, quality, or performance.
  • Collaborate with SRE and Data teams to implement scalable solutions and monitor platform health.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience with a focus on technical products.
  • 5+ years of experience as a technical product manager.
  • Ad Tech industry experience and familiarity with Ad Technologies like Open RTB, Prebid and GAM.
  • Experience with HubSpot integrations.
  • Engineering experience in JavaScript/Node.
  • Experience writing SQL queries.
  • Experience with Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with data systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS), or SRE practices.
  • Current experience partnering with engineering teams on complex technical projects.
  • Demonstrated skill in engaging and leading discussions on architecture, APIs, data flows, and infrastructure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management tools (Jira) and understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough research and be an innovative thinker.
