About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technology Product Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in the development and success of our Fixed and Mobile Robotics product offerings. As a Technology Product Manager, you are responsible for defining and owning product strategies; and specifying and sponsoring the development of features and functionality that meet solution/market needs and drive business growth in Robotics. This role requires a strong strategic business background to drive the commercial performance of product lines, as well as a solid technical background to understand complex technical concepts. You will lead the commercial viability for your line of products, overseeing fiscal performance, technical performance, lifecycle management, and strategic planning. You will also develop and communicate a clear and compelling product vision and strategy, defining product goals, objectives, and key results to align with Dematic's overall vision. In this role, you will leverage market data, competitive insights, and industry analytics to ensure the commercial viability and long-term success of product lines. You will partner with R&D, Program Management, and other functions to prioritize and support the process for new product development, aftermarket modifications and upgrades, and the sustaining of existing products. Cultivating strong relationships with internal and external customers will be essential, as you will collect feedback to drive product improvement. Additionally, you will partner with Marketing and Communications to drive successful product launches, including marketing strategies, documentation, and customer training. This position is critical to the success of our robotics initiatives and requires a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

  • Leads commercial viability for their line of products including fiscal performance, technical performance, lifecycle management, and strategic planning.
  • Oversees fiscal performance for their line of products, understanding and reporting against order intake, revenue, margin, and win/loss/drop analysis.
  • Collaborates on market-based pricing strategies that consider the value of the respective product line.
  • Supports regional sales and solution development teams to drive commercial success for product lines.
  • Develops and communicates a clear and compelling product vision and strategy.
  • Defines product goals, objectives, and key results to align with Dematic's overall vision.
  • Leads the management of product lifecycles and product positioning in the marketplace.
  • Creates and maintains a well-defined product roadmap and adapts it to changing market conditions and business priorities.
  • Supports the integration of product lines into larger solutions.
  • Leverages market data, competitive insights, and industry analytics to ensure the commercial viability and long-term success of product lines.
  • Partners with R&D, Program Management, and other functions to prioritize and support the process for new product development, aftermarket modifications, and upgrades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Engineering, etc.)
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager
  • Strong strategic business background to drive the commercial performance of product lines
  • Solid technical background and the ability to understand complex technical concepts
  • Robotics experience is a plus
  • Experience in the material handling industry with a proficiency in understanding the supply chain industry as a whole (preferred)
  • Understands the integration of hardware, controls, and software (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
  • A strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a customer-centric approach
  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
