About the position

The Technical Product Manager for Software Asset Management at Starbucks is responsible for leading the creation of product roadmaps and strategies within the asset management space. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders to understand business challenges, translating them into technical requirements and product solutions. The individual will focus on optimizing software asset management processes, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and managing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Interact directly with stakeholders to understand business challenges and opportunities, translating to technical requirements and product solutions
  • Create and maintain product roadmap and strategies, balancing business and technical objectives to define priorities for the team
  • Own and manage backlog, including agile records where you will document requirements and acceptance criteria to support the delivery of features and stories
  • Work with architecture and engineering to align on feature solutions, sizing, and delivery planning
  • Identify and document technical feasibility, tradeoffs, risks, dependencies, and constraints of features with support from neighboring technology teams as needed
  • Be technically adept in end-to-end system architecture
  • Create data flows and functional and technical specifications as needed
  • Drive optimization and process improvements between product, design, and development teams
  • Understand ServiceNow features and industry trends, proposing innovative solutions that may improve business experience or value
  • Measure feature success post-deployment and feed insights back to the team and business partners
  • Have a deep understanding of ServiceNow ITAM Software Asset Management capability including software models, business rules, workflows, and dashboard reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate tracking software asset costs and identify opportunities for cost savings or optimization
  • Lead initiatives to continuously improve SAM processes, tools, and methodologies, leveraging automation and advanced analytics where applicable

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytics and optimization tools to inform product planning and prioritization (5 years)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with design and engineering to deliver customer-facing features (5 years)
  • Hands-on experience in developing roadmaps, priorities, features, story outlines, writing user stories, refining product backlogs, and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast-paced, changing environment with a variety of stakeholders (5 years)
  • Industry experience in a technology environment with a record of successfully delivering complex products (7+ years)
