About the position

The Technical Product Manager for Sortation Solutions at Amazon Robotics is responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle of sortation solutions, from initial concept to launch and ongoing support. This role involves strategic planning, financial analysis, and collaboration with various teams to ensure customer needs are met while driving innovation in product development.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Voice of the Customer for the product line throughout its life cycle from initial concept creation to launch, and subsequent support of the product.
  • Identify new product opportunities by evaluating the business and competitive landscape, understanding customer needs and value drivers.
  • Write business and product requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design and development teams.
  • Participate as a member of the core team during development, including research, requirements definition, metrics analysis, implementation, testing, and launch efforts.
  • Work cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.
  • Measure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to customers.
  • Present confidently to Amazon senior management as well as other large audiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of customer-facing product development and product management experience, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services experience.
  • Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and online services on tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in robotics or software development.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with metrics analysis.
