VIZIO's Product Management team is seeking a Technical Product Manager. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to research new features and contribute to product specifications. The Product Manager will report to the Sr. Director of HW Product Management and provide support to the HW Product Management team. This role involves working closely with engineering and software teams to evaluate product features and help define product behavior and performance goals. The Technical Product Manager will build product feature specifications related to system performance and contribute feature PRDs with details for engineering, chipset vendors, ODMs, and the QA testing process. The position requires effective communication of the technical feature specifications of VIZIO products to various stakeholders, including Management, Sales & Marketing, Quality Assurance, and third-party vendors. The Technical Product Manager will also create and maintain technical documentation and presentation materials to support product roadmaps and specifications. Driving the execution of Product Team specification projects from inception to reporting is a key responsibility, which includes understanding roles and responsibilities for other teams and adhering to integrated timelines to ensure alignment across the team. Collaboration with engineering, ODMs, and vendors is essential to ensure a clear understanding of product feature requests and specifications. The role also involves performing ODM technical design reviews and managing compliance programs for VIZIO's consumer electronics hardware, including high-definition televisions, home theater systems, sound bars, and related accessories. The Technical Product Manager will partner with VIZIO's supply chain to ensure ongoing legal and regulatory product-level compliance and will work closely with the VIZIO Legal Compliance Team to monitor relevant laws and regulations that could impact hardware development or sales. This includes implementing new compliance policies and procedures as needed and communicating compliance requirements to internal teams for reporting or public disclosure.
