About the position

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our world-class product team. This role is pivotal as we own the cloud layer that supports the foundation of our leading Property and Casualty (P&C) applications. The Technical Product Manager will define the key platform features that will drive customer adoption and growth. You will work with global teams that span product management, P&C insurance domain experts, operations, and engineering. In this position, you will gain an in-depth understanding of Guidewire applications, the cloud ecosystem that enables them, the market landscape, competition, and user requirements. You will work collaboratively with Engineering, UX, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Enablement teams to define and maximize the value of our solutions. Your role will involve developing smart solutions to complex problems while collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to discover and test opportunities, prioritize, and refine solutions. A significant part of your responsibilities will include building and communicating roadmaps and requirements with teams and appropriate stakeholders. You will launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly. As a power user of the products, you will be responsible for accepting the features built by the team, ensuring they meet the defined specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of Guidewire applications and the cloud ecosystem that enables them.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, UX, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Enablement teams to define and maximize the value of our solutions.
  • Develop smart solutions to complex problems while collaborating across regions, product areas, and functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discover and test opportunities, prioritize, and refine solutions.
  • Build and communicate roadmaps and requirements with teams and appropriate stakeholders.
  • Launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly.
  • Act as a power user of the products and accept the features built by the team.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding and experience with AWS services.
  • Ability to define and articulate product roadmaps with solid use cases and associated ROI.
  • Detail feature requirements/specifications with clear acceptance criteria for each software release.
  • Establish a shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams through the design, development, testing, release, and maintenance of the product to ensure quality and successful delivery.
  • Identify and lead opportunities for revenue growth, customer adoption, and improved customer satisfaction.
  • Manage product backlogs effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified as an AWS Cloud Practitioner.
  • Understanding of containerization and container orchestration (Docker & Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with AHA.
