About the position

The Technical Product Manager will oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, supporting product development and design, and managing product releases. This role involves collaboration with various departments to optimize product quality and market observation, while also contributing to portfolio strategy and program coverage. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills, particularly within the automotive sector.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with technical specifications for products.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications for product segmentation.
• Provide necessary technical product information and documentation.
• Prepare tests and support concept development and validation.
• Create relevant design documents and assist with cost optimization proposals.
• Monitor legal requirements for the product portfolio and obtain necessary approvals.
• Support warranty report preparation and handle complaints.
• Evaluate and analyze competitor products throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical support for training content creation and supplier selection.
• Participate in higher-level projects and support packaging creation.
• Assist in prioritizing product inclusion decisions based on technical criteria.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 2 years of experience in Technical Product Management, Product Development, or Project Management.
• Experience with product benchmarking, supplier evaluation, and technical product release.
• Knowledge of product launch, specification, and technical release processes.
• General understanding of the automotive business.
• Flexibility to support 25% domestic/international travel.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years of experience in Automotive Aftermarket Technical Product Management.
• Knowledge and experience in Automotive Aftermarket and Distribution Channels.
• Experience with SAP and Continental's internal processes.
