About the position

The Technical Product Manager for Retail Hardware will lead efforts in managing and delivering complex IoT and retail hardware products. This role involves engaging with business teams to understand customer needs, translating those into engineering requirements, and overseeing product selection and deployment in retail environments. The position requires a blend of technical acumen and a passion for creating user-friendly solutions that enhance customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business teams to understand customer and stakeholder needs.
• Translate customer needs into engineering requirements.
• Assess technology options to meet business needs in collaboration with other technology teams and vendors.
• Oversee product selection and support successful deployment into stores.
• Ensure that products meet the rigors of store environments and provide engaging user experiences.

Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience in a technology environment with a record of successfully delivering and managing complex products.
• Experience commercializing IoT retail products.
• Technical knowledge in Network and Compute Hosting technologies (layer 3 switching/routing, hardware and infrastructure supporting networking, Virtual Machines, Kubernetes and Containers).
• Experience providing services in a retail or edge-computing environment.
• Recent experience in defining and/or building hosting services for virtual machines, K8s containers, and Network Services in an edge, retail, or datacenter setting.
