About the position

The Technical Product Manager will play a crucial role in connecting engineering teams with business stakeholders, overseeing the development of technical products from conception to launch. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and product management skills to translate complex requirements into actionable tasks, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. The role is integral to the product and engineering team focused on creating a next-generation research, news, data, and analytics platform.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for technical products.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Translate business and customer requirements into technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand the technical architecture, dependencies, and challenges.
  • Prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes to maximize impact and ROI.
  • Create detailed product definition documents, product requirements, and user stories.
  • Work with the engineering team to define sprints, manage backlogs, and ensure timely delivery of features.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with cross-functional teams including stakeholders, engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer success to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Analyze customer feedback and usage data to inform product decisions.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on new product features and enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field, business management, or applied mathematics.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical product management role, preferably at a software focused company.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with technologies for web, mobile, databases, APIs.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SQL, Power BI, Amplitude, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
