About the position

The Technical Product Manager at G-Research will serve as the technical liaison for Trading and Research workflows, focusing on understanding and optimizing the technology in use. This role is crucial for ensuring that the Infrastructure Engineering function aligns with long-term architectural goals and the strategic platform vision. The position involves reviewing PaaS services, driving technology adoption, and ensuring that technical roadmaps meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Understand optimisations/integrations needed in PaaS to deliver tangible value to Research and Trading workflows.
• Highlight high-value processes with sub-optimal flows and own technical remedial tasks.
• Provision PoC's or MVP's and engage with key vendors to achieve business outcomes.
• Own and track key Platform Engineering tenants for PaaS, such as stack simplification and UX improvements.
• Ensure PaaS technical and product roadmaps align with the wider Architectural vision and prioritize work accordingly.
• Convert Research and Trading roadmaps into technical requirements.
• Define performance metrics that the platform must meet to achieve business goals.

Requirements

• Advanced problem-solving skills with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and supporting complex systems.
• Knowledge of end-to-end technical implementations from the application layer through infrastructure components.
• Experience owning technical implementation across an organization, from automation to performance and benchmarking.
• Ability to articulate and align technical challenges to high-value outcomes.
