About the position

The Technical Product Manager at ViewSonic Corporation is responsible for the overall success of the assigned AV product category. This role involves developing and managing product strategies, market positioning, and achieving revenue and profitability goals. The PM will oversee the product life cycle, from launch to end-of-life, and act as the key spokesperson for the product line, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market demands.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend new product opportunities through market analysis and customer feedback.
  • Develop business strategy for the AV product category, including market positioning and contribution to strategic objectives.
  • Manage AV products through their complete life cycle, including launch, maturity, and end-of-life transitions.
  • Recommend pricing and promotional strategies for competitiveness in the target market.
  • Monitor product gross/net margins to ensure financial expectations are met.
  • Provide forecasts for market demand and financial results for AV products.
  • Create demand generation plans to enhance market demand for products.
  • Act as the 'Product Champion' and spokesperson for the AV product category.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure product line success in targeted markets.
  • Present corporate strategy and product roadmaps to sales teams and customers.
  • Travel with sales teams for customer visits and events, and support press tours and trade shows.
  • Coordinate with marketing departments on product launch strategies and training materials.
  • Interface between sales, customer service, and product development teams for feedback and enhancements.
  • Conduct training for new hires, sales teams, and customers.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Business or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in AV product management or product marketing.
  • Familiarity with Crestron and Extron control systems and AV control technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Microsoft Intune for device management.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience in classical marketing and motivating distribution channels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate with international teams.
  • Strong presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
