About the position

The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for driving the performance, scale, and usability of InterSystems' core data platform technologies. This role involves creating product strategies, defining new capabilities based on market needs, and executing the delivery of data management technology for enterprises with life-critical applications. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of challenges and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys, interviews, and other research methods to gather feedback from users.
• Identify pain points and areas for improvement to enhance the overall platform experience.
• Engage with internal and external technical specialists to identify opportunities for higher levels of performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with other product managers, engineers, architects, and stakeholders to align product development with user needs and business goals.
• Drive excitement, adoption, and satisfaction for new platform releases by preparing stakeholders and partners with appropriate information and messaging.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of technical experience in database management systems and system management.
• Solid understanding of modern database architectures and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. C++, Python) and development practices is desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management skills, able to take projects from a feasible start to a fully documented finish.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degrees or certifications in product management or database management are a plus.
• Experience as a Product Manager or similar role is a plus.
