About the position

The Technical Product Manager at Optimum Energy is responsible for defining and managing the product strategy and roadmap for software solutions that optimize energy consumption in HVAC systems. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, create product specifications, and ensure alignment with business objectives. The position requires a strong technical background and experience in managing the product lifecycle, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support leadership in defining the product strategy and roadmap.
  • Develop and manage the long-term product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Refine the product lifecycle management process.
  • Collect, manage and maintain requirements from all stakeholders across products.
  • Gather requirements from users and stakeholders, translating them into detailed product specifications.
  • Deliver strategy projects involving research and analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • Create business cases to support new products and enhancements.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to assess and establish partnerships.
  • Create mockups / wireframes to visualize product features and user interfaces.
  • Be recognized as a product leader in the business and build relations with business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a technical product manager, technical product owner, or technical lead for API products or platforms.
  • 6+ years of experience collaborating with senior stakeholders.
  • Management of product lifecycle from start to finish.
  • Strong technical background and knowledge of design, development, testing, and documentation.
  • Experience with technologies such as IoT, edge computing, cloud services, and communication APIs.
  • 3 years of growth strategy experience.
  • 3 years of experience working in a business environment with cross-functional stakeholders and directly collaborating with executive management.
  • 2 years of strategy experience in business software or SaaS domain, with a good understanding of industry dynamics, competitive landscape, product differentiation, and GTM.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Experience working with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Master's degree or other advanced certifications.
