About the position

The Technical Product Manager III is a pivotal role responsible for defining and executing the technical strategy for a platform, ensuring that it aligns with both business objectives and customer needs. This position requires a deep understanding of technical feasibility, business impact, and user feedback to prioritize tasks and features effectively. The Technical Product Manager will work closely with engineering teams to translate requirements into actionable plans, overseeing the entire product development lifecycle. This includes managing the product roadmap and ensuring the technical integrity and quality of the platform. The role serves as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, necessitating the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner. In this role, the Technical Product Manager III will partner with key stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to design and build technical platforms that facilitate the development and integration of various applications, products, or services. The successful candidate will take ownership of the platform vision, strategy, and roadmaps, ensuring that they are aligned with business goals. They must be comfortable collaborating with business stakeholders, product management, technical architects, engineers, and design/UX teams. The Technical Product Manager will handle multiple projects simultaneously, evaluating priorities and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in delivery. They will develop a comprehensive capabilities strategy with a focus on revenue growth and the evolution of the technical platform. This includes leading the improvement of user experience through innovative solutions and product capabilities, as well as providing regular communication of priorities, progress, and impact to stakeholders. The role also involves defining and evangelizing platform visions, translating these visions into actionable roadmaps and detailed execution plans, and maintaining roadmaps that include iterations and user stories. Additionally, the Technical Product Manager will document user requirements, manage schedules and tasks related to product development, and lead the adoption of agile practices based on SAFe best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the near, mid and long-term holistic capabilities strategy with a strong focus on revenue growth and technical platform evolution
  • Lead improvement of experience through development of new and innovative solutions and product capabilities
  • Ensure the alignment of platform roadmap to business goals and drive execution and evolution of platform
  • Lead cross functional, cross channel teams in shaping future platform decisions and strategies
  • Provide regular, impactful communication of priorities, progress and impact to stakeholders
  • Define and evangelize platform visions; translate vision into roadmaps and detailed execution plans
  • Maintain roadmaps including iterations; break down large scale initiatives into user stories
  • Map processes, identify process improvements, and influence team and stakeholders
  • Document user requirements including launch and ongoing KPIs to monitor product health and ongoing business value
  • Manage schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development, launch, and enhancements
  • Lead in the adoption and maturing of agile practices based on SAFe best practices
  • Manage multiple tasks concurrently and work within tight deadlines to balance workload effectively
  • Create specifications for both functional and non-functional requirements (NFRs) of the product, ensuring alignment with architecture designs and key integration points within the platform, accounting for DR, resilience, stability and security
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks during development, collaborate with teams to address roadblocks, and develop contingency plans for project risks

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager or similar role
  • Strong understanding of technical platforms and product development lifecycle
  • Experience in managing product roadmaps and aligning them with business goals
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and product management
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate user feedback and business impact
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly SAFe best practices
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and mitigate risks
