About the position

The Technical Product Manager (TPM) at SS&C serves as a crucial link between product management and technical teams, focusing on areas that require a deep understanding of technical initiatives. This role involves owning aspects of the product suite and acting as a subject matter expert on technical matters, ensuring that product requirements are met and aligned with stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure requirements are fully understood and that plans match expectations through a deeper understanding of architecture, functionality, and technical dependencies.
• Engage with stakeholders to refine product requirements, prioritize features, define success criteria, and help shape the roadmap.
• Identify emerging trends, product capabilities, and other opportunities to measure their potential value (or threat) to the portfolio.
• Understand, research, and follow technical trends, and track competitors to conduct capability analysis regularly.
• Provide support for internal and customer demos, presentations, and training/documentation activities.
• Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the internal and external technical/developer community.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in product management.
• Strong understanding of technical architecture and dependencies.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders and refine product requirements.
