About the position

Origence is looking to hire a talented Technical Product Manager! The Technical Product Manager takes strategic ownership of the Origination Platform. Specifically, the PM will lead the progressive elaboration process including feature analysis & business scope. The Technical PM is responsible for executing on the origination platform's roadmap. The PM works with multiple functional areas of the platform to ensure the right priorities are being worked on in the Agile teams before the build out. PM also ensures completeness of the features for the market segments. The Technical PM is responsible for the origination platform's competitive analysis. Moreover, customer research and validation are core competencies including conducting market research through ongoing visits with customers and prospects. In collaboration with a UX Designer, the PM is responsible for persona development, journey mapping, rapid prototyping, and the EPIC business case. As agile teams are sprinting, the Technical PM in collaboration with a Development Architect is working on EPIC creation, acceptance criteria, and portfolio architecture (Feature Analysis). Moreover, the PM leads high-level business design, rapid prototyping, and supports PSE with t-shirt sizing with assistance from an Architect and UX designer. The PM serves as an escalation path. If further clarification on any business-related functionality and rules cannot be answered by the Product Owner, then the issue is escalated to the Product Manager. The Technical PM ensures visibility and accuracy of the origination platform's roadmap. Prioritization of EPICs and works with Dev Architect and PSE to understand the Technical dependencies. Moreover, owns and understands targeted component pricing in relation to the marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the progressive elaboration process including feature analysis and business scope.
  • Execute on the origination platform's roadmap.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and customer research for the origination platform.
  • Collaborate with UX Designer for persona development, journey mapping, and rapid prototyping.
  • Create EPICs, acceptance criteria, and portfolio architecture in collaboration with Development Architect.
  • Lead high-level business design and support PSE with t-shirt sizing.
  • Ensure visibility and accuracy of the origination platform's roadmap.
  • Prioritize EPICs and understand technical dependencies with Dev Architect and PSE.

Requirements

  • College Degree (BA/BS Degree or advanced degree - MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of six years' experience in software, system and/or business analysis.
  • Experience as Product Manager, Product Owner, or Sr. Business Analyst developing or launching new features.
  • Deep knowledge of the mortgage industry and Mortgage Loan Origination.
  • Knowledge of information technology operations and procedures.
  • Strong soft skills to gain support from internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to interface with credit union and internal management for business plans.
  • Strong organizational skills to develop strategies, set objectives, and manage results.
  • Proactive leadership style to identify opportunities and work across the organization.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
