About the position

As a Technical Product Manager at our Ticket Resale company, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our API connectivity for various software endpoints. This position is crucial as we gear up for the football season, and we are looking for a strong Technical Product Owner to join our growing team. You will be responsible for developing and executing the product roadmap, particularly focusing on the API layer of our greenfield product. Your expertise in SQL and Data Analytics will be essential as you collaborate closely with the software team to ensure seamless integration and functionality of our systems. In this hybrid work environment located in the northern Chicagoland area, you will have the opportunity to work directly with your teammates and the software team. Your role will involve not only technical leadership but also effective communication with stakeholders to align product goals with business objectives. You will be expected to manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and ensure that the development team is focused on delivering high-quality solutions that meet user needs. Your daily responsibilities will include stakeholder communication, leading API initiatives, collaborating with team members, and managing the product backlog. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your skills in a dynamic environment where you can make a significant impact on the product's success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the API roadmap for the product.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align product goals.
  • Lead API initiatives and ensure successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with the software team to enhance product features.
  • Manage the product backlog and prioritize tasks for the development team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Product Ownership experience
  • Experience building out API roadmap
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Expertise in Agile Methodologies
  • Experience working with merchant portals, eCommerce, or POS systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in Software Development
  • History in Data Analysis
  • Previous experience working in tech companies
  • Product backlog management.
