About the position

As a Technical Product Manager at Macy's, you will serve as the voice of the customer while understanding the technical requirements necessary for successful product delivery. You will be responsible for executing the product roadmap, collaborating with various teams throughout the product lifecycle, and working in an agile environment focused on continuous improvement. Your role will involve balancing business needs with technical feasibility, driving product discovery, and maintaining a healthy backlog of user stories.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, drive and maintain product roadmap that aligns business goals with technical requirements based on product strategy.
  • Drive product discovery for defined customer problems, drawing insights and ideas that impact the product roadmap and individual feature development.
  • Gather customer needs and synthesize them into technical requirements.
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress to partners across Macy's.
  • Maintain a healthy backlog of groomed, insight-driven user stories.
  • Align internal teams, including developers, engineers, Q.A, and operations.
  • Participate in engineering and analytical discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to product features.
  • Understand data pipelines, automated systems, testing frameworks, and architectural diagrams.
  • Evaluate and tackle risks.
  • Work with the Engineering team to prioritize and manage delivery features on time with high quality.
  • Partner with engineering scrum teams and leads to refine technical requirements.
  • Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
  • Own the creation and maintenance of product documentation.
  • Conduct market research to identify gaps and conduct capability analyses.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of product management experience, focusing on driving growth and engagement, preferably with Microsoft Technology solutions such as Office 365, SharePoint, Viva, and Teams.
  • 3+ years overall technical development experience.
  • SCRUM/Safe/Agile experience required.
  • Proven record in delivering end-to-end product solutions.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, including defining and documenting product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
