About the position

The Technical Product Manager at Verizon is responsible for overseeing all technical activities related to assigned security products within the portfolio. This role acts as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the product, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of new features, managing expectations, and coordinating with development resources. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive product efficiency and effectiveness, while also preparing executive communications and benchmarking industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering new products and features on-time and in-budget
  • Identifying options and providing recommendations to resolve production issues
  • Implementing embedded security within network strategies and approaches
  • Working in an agile environment with development and customer-facing organizations
  • Collaborating with business product management and marketing execution organizations to co-develop a roadmap
  • Leading and participating on cross-functional teams to execute multi-channel strategies
  • Preparing and delivering executive communications for both business and technical leadership
  • Benchmarking competition, evaluating new industry trends, and shaping future digital strategies that will drive future growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 4 years of equivalent work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of managed services or managed security
  • Experience with launching products in an agile environment
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience working with customers
  • Product Management / Development experience
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or similar product/project and documentation management tools
  • Strong project management skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a technical field
  • Hands-on experience in areas such as SASE, SDWAN, MXDR solution, Threat detection and response
  • Proven experience in operating infrastructure in a hyperscale environment like AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP
  • Four or more years of Product Management / Development experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Product and/or customer support experience
  • Knowledge of Verizon front-end and back-end infrastructure
  • Agile Business experience
  • Strong business case skills
