About the position

CelerData is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to drive product development in the analytical database industry. This role involves enhancing user experiences, analyzing customer feedback, and managing product vision and execution. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and collaborate with various teams to ensure the solutions meet diverse user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate closely with customers and community users to enhance user experiences by understanding their needs and gathering feedback.
  • Develop and analyze customer surveys to generate actionable insights and drive product improvements.
  • Analyze customer issues to identify potential database enhancements using data analysis, competitive insights, and user research to define core requirements.
  • Define or contribute to the product vision and roadmap, manage incremental execution through successful product launches, develop product prototypes, and write PRDs for CelerData cloud service.
  • Support product marketing by creating blogs, demos, and documentation, and conduct internal and external enablement sessions.
  • Communicate with ecosystem partners to build better pipelines for the open lakehouse, ensuring seamless integration and enhanced functionality.

Requirements

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and coordination skills with a strong teamwork spirit to collaborate with various departments such as engineering, marketing, sales, customer support, and users/customers.
  • Proficiency in Figma or other product design tools for quick prototype designing.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager in SaaS system products and database-related systems.
  • Ability to communicate technical content to diverse non-technical audiences.
  • Enthusiastic about the startup environment, willing to accept the intensity of startup work, and able to collaborate with colleagues across different time zones.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity or domain knowledge in database algorithm internals, data analytics or backend technologies.
  • Familiar with Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Athena, BigQuery and related data analytics services.
