About the position

As the Product Marketing Manager for Sentry's core platform, you will own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy to drive product awareness, adoption, and expansion. This role requires a deep understanding of the product, target audience, and market landscape, allowing you to distill complex information into compelling and concise messaging and materials that resonate with developers. You will work cross-functionally with various teams and closely with strategic integration and ecosystem partners to enhance product offerings and expand market reach. Your responsibilities extend beyond merely promoting product features; by understanding the user and market deeply, you will influence product development and shape our go-to-market strategy. In this role, you will craft and execute a creative product marketing strategy and shape the go-to-market motion for both ecosystem partnerships and sales enablement. You will focus on measurement-driven product areas and drive acquisition, adoption, and activation strategies. As the owner of the core product's success, you will leverage market insights to influence product strategy and drive revenue. Understanding the needs, pains, and aspirations of new developers signing up for Sentry will be crucial, as you will articulate how Sentry differentiates from the competition to ensure their success from sign-up to sending their first event. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating product launches across multiple channels, aiming to grow awareness and engagement. Crafting concise, benefits-driven messaging will be essential, as you develop elegant value propositions for both developers and self-serve customers. Your approach will be technically accurate, consistent, and validated through experimentation. You will also be tasked with continuing the narrative of Sentry's offerings by building and executing value-based campaigns that creatively drive the funnel, identifying gaps in content and ways to keep demand metrics growing from awareness to expansion for the core product.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute a creative product marketing strategy and shape the go-to-market motion.
  • Drive acquisition, adoption, and activation strategies for measurement-focused product areas.
  • Influence product strategy with market insights to drive revenue and business forward.
  • Understand the needs, pains, and dreams of new developers signing up for Sentry.
  • Plan and coordinate product launches across multiple channels to grow awareness and engagement.
  • Develop concise, benefits-driven messaging and value propositions for developers and self-serve customers.
  • Build and execute value-based campaigns to create new interest in Sentry.
  • Identify gaps in content and ways to keep demand metrics growing.

Requirements

  • 10 years of B2B product/marketing experience.
  • Experience working closely with a software development process or familiarity with developer teams.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing multi-channel campaigns that deliver against business objectives.
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing opportunities and balance customer needs versus business priorities.

  • Developer relations or community experience is a plus.
  • Bonus points for being a developer in a past life.
