About the position

The Technical Product Marketing Manager is responsible for managing customer-facing components of product development and launch for various products, particularly in the wastewater and waste conversion sectors. This remote position involves planning and executing marketing campaigns, developing technical messaging, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product visibility and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer-facing components of product development and launch for products across the business.
  • Plan and execute successful product launches and ongoing marketing campaigns to educate customers and prospects.
  • Develop technical messaging and content that is educational and easy to understand for the customer base.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team on the go-to-market strategy and drive content and positioning from concept to launch.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand benefits and define the customer-focused value proposition.
  • Communicate customer and market requirements to product development teams.
  • Conduct techno-economic analysis to prioritize new markets for investment.
  • Work with Business Development teams to identify target audiences and develop ideal customer profiles.
  • Create internal tools and external collateral to support Business Development throughout the customer journey.
  • Improve visibility of product marketing efforts through cross-functional communication.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to provide insights into the broader market.
  • Track product and marketing campaign performance across channels and markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a business and market orientation; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years' experience in a product marketing role for an industrial product, with a technical understanding.
  • Experience in releasing products and services to new and existing markets.
  • Ability to understand technical audiences within the market deeply.
  • Experience in new market evaluation, including techno-economic modeling and market sizing.
  • Outstanding written communication skills to translate complex concepts into simple messaging.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with different teams.
  • Proactive and comfortable working under limited supervision.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and project prioritization skills.
  • Ownership and accountability for key aspects of the company's marketing strategy.
  • Adaptable to work in an ambiguous, ever-changing environment.
  • Customer-first, data-driven mindset.
