About the position

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Technical Product Owner ERP Data Analytics to support their Innovative Medicine Transcend program. This role is pivotal in modernizing foundational transactional processes and harmonizing them into a single, standardized SAP ERP platform. The goal is to simplify the ERP landscape from seven systems to one, thereby enhancing efficiency and reducing costs. The Technical Product Owner will be an integral part of the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain JJT team, focusing on global standardization of technology solutions related to Operational and Analytical Reporting. In this position, the Technical Product Owner will lead the design, validation, and delivery of SAP S/4 reporting and data integration capabilities that align with business process needs. This role will govern the scope of the SAP S/4 and data integration template, driving innovation and evolution through deployments. The Technical Product Owner will take ownership of areas such as operational reporting in SAP ERP and data integration with connected supply chain and enterprise data platforms, enabling analytical reporting through various performance metrics. The Technical Product Owner will engage with business partners to understand user requirements, shape and prioritize the backlog, and ensure that the squad builds the right solutions. They will lead the translation of business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring that system setups align with the designed solutions. The role also involves facilitating release planning, sprint planning, and demos with stakeholders, managing the integrated build with the engineering team, and supporting user acceptance testing. Additionally, the Technical Product Owner will drive operational and analytical reporting to provide transparency on squad performance and monitor sprint metrics and user results.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with Business Partners to understand and align user requirements.
  • Shape and prioritize backlog, applying business expertise and understanding of customer needs, translating requirements into user stories & acceptance criteria.
  • Act as the 'voice of the customer' within the squad to ensure the squad 'builds the right thing'.
  • Lead in the overall translation of business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Drive selection of solution options, challenge complexity, and work with the Lead Engineer to assess tech elements of the solution prior to user testing.
  • Ensure system set-up aligns with solution design.
  • Perform source data analysis, collaborating with business and peer teams to synthesize the requirements for data acquisition.
  • Facilitate release planning, sprint planning, and demos with stakeholders.
  • Accountable to manage the integrated build with the Engineering team to ensure the end-to-end build of a particular part of a solution is compliant and works as designed.
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and innovation across the product life cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Data & Analytics or related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant SAP experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant Pharma experience.
  • Solid understanding of technical capabilities for Operational Reporting in a SAP ERP platform.
  • Robust experience with SAP ERP data integration (ETLs) to connected data platforms (e.g., Teradata, Azure) to enable Analytical Reporting.
  • In-depth understanding of the technical architecture of S/4 HANA and complementary technologies for Data & Analytics.
  • Strong data management and data modeling skills, with experience in data lake/data warehouse platforms in support of business functions.
  • Demonstrable experience crafting technical solutions for business problems; understands both business processes and technical solutions.
  • Understanding of end-to-end business process linkages across Plan, Source, Make, Logistics, Customer Experience, Finance, and Master Data.
  • Experience in Pharmaceuticals/Healthcare industry and good knowledge of SOX & GxP compliance regulations.
  • Agile development experience, Software Development Lifecycle Management methodology, solid grasp of JIRA.
