About the position

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Technical Product Owner ERP Data Analytics to support their Innovative Medicine Transcend program. This position is located in Titusville, NJ, but may also be based at another J&J Innovative Medicine facility within the United States for the right candidate. The Innovative Medicine Transcend program is a global business transformation initiative aimed at modernizing foundational transactional processes and harmonizing them into a single, standardized SAP ERP platform. This program will simplify the Innovative Medicine ERP landscape from seven systems to one, standardizing processes to create a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that supports the Innovative Medicine business with agility. Additionally, it will address the end-of-life system exposure risks that we face towards the end of this decade. As a Technical Product Owner ERP Data Analytics, you will be an integral member of the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain JJT team, driving global standardization of technology solutions related to Operational and Analytical Reporting. You will lead the design, validation, and delivery of SAP S/4 reporting and data integration capabilities, ensuring alignment with business process needs. This role involves governing the scope of the SAP S/4 and data integration template while driving innovation and evolution through deployments. You will take ownership of areas such as operational reporting in SAP ERP, data integration with connected supply chain and enterprise data platforms, and proactive planning of deployment roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with Business Partners to understand and align user requirements.
  • Shape and prioritize backlog, applying business expertise and understanding of customer needs, translating requirements into user stories & acceptance criteria.
  • Balance business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing stories and features, optimizing cost, and improving delivery efficiency.
  • Act as the 'voice of the customer' within the squad to ensure the squad builds the right thing.
  • Ensure the backlog is healthy: Stay 2-3 sprints ahead and ensure each feature has a clear definition of done; ensure each feature level deliverable is aligned to a definition of readiness to enter sprint.
  • Lead in the overall translation of business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Drive selection of solution options, challenge complexity, and work with the Lead Engineer to assess tech elements of the solution prior to user testing.
  • Ensure system set-up aligns with solution design.
  • Identify business needs related to solutions requiring reporting and data integration options.
  • Perform source data analysis, collaborating with business and peer teams to synthesize the requirements for data acquisition.
  • Lead data integration design based on business needs and J&J best practices and recommend appropriate connection types, while evaluating impacts.
  • Facilitate release planning, sprint planning, and demos with stakeholders.
  • Accountable to manage the integrated build with the Engineering team to ensure the end-to-end build of a particular part of a solution is compliant and works as designed.
  • Support planning and execution of Technical Testing by Engineering team; Support Business Process Owner to plan and complete User Acceptance Testing.
  • Drive operational and analytical reporting and data integration to provide transparency on squad performance and monitor sprint metrics and user results.
  • Shape the squad product vision & roadmap; Help steer the squad in delivering products & features oriented around business impact.
  • Interact with other Squads within the Project/Platform as part of synchronization ceremonies to implement cross-squad tasks.
  • Drive engagement with third parties to support delivery of squad objectives.
  • Plan resourcing for the squad, create ASOE requests, interview, select and onboard members to join the squad.
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and innovation across the product life cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Data & Analytics or related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant SAP experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant Pharma experience.
  • Solid understanding of technical capabilities for Operational Reporting in a SAP ERP platform.
  • Robust experience with SAP ERP data integration (ETLs) to connected data platforms (e.g. Teradata, Azure) to enable Analytical Reporting.
  • In-depth understanding of the technical architecture of S/4 HANA and complementary technologies for Data & Analytics.
  • Strong data management and data modeling skills, with experience in data lake/data warehouse platforms in support of business functions.
  • Demonstrable experience crafting technical solutions for business problems; understands both business processes and technical solutions.
  • Understanding of end-to-end business process linkages across Plan, Source, Make, Logistics, Customer Experience, Finance, and Master Data.
  • Experience in Pharmaceuticals/Healthcare industry and good knowledge of SOX & GxP compliance regulations.
  • Agile development experience, Software Development Lifecycle Management methodology, solid grasp of JIRA.
