About the position

The GTO Workplace Site Reliability Engineering team is seeking a Technical Product Owner to define and execute reliability engineering strategy, work with a team of Endpoint engineers to develop, and enhance platform and tooling to scale reliability engineering practice. The Technical Product Owner will work closely with key stakeholders within the organization to ensure that the team's efforts are aligned with overall strategy and will manage dependencies with other teams while identifying, building, and managing strategic partnerships across different teams. This role will also involve building and managing SRE community of practice, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration among SRE teams within the organization. The successful candidate will create a product and service roadmap, define the strategic vision for their team, and own the delivery decisions for the team. They will also have a deep understanding of reliability engineering practices and industry trends and will drive the team's engineering practices in reliability, observability, testing, deployment, and performance. This is a critical role that requires deep expertise in reliability engineering practices and industry trends, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate the technical vision, OKRs, and roadmap for reliability engineering service, aligning with the Product Family and stakeholders.
  • Make decisions related to the design and continuous improvement of the technical solution for the product or service, effectively communicating them to the team.
  • Build and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, provide technical direction on implementation, and ensure team members understand the stories in the backlog and their business value.
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders regularly to gather feedback and refine the product roadmap and backlog as needed.
  • Raise and resolve dependencies and impediments with the support of the Scrum Master.
  • Communicate project status and issues regularly to stakeholders, including leaders and senior managers, and influence key decisions.
  • Conduct/participate in Agile ceremonies as needed, and mentor and coach the team in Agile practices as well as Product Owner mindset.
  • Oversee sub divisional SRE training and develop SRE community of practice.
  • Ensure quality and continuous improvement of team processes, practices, and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of reliability engineering practices and industry trends, specifically within Workplace and/or Endpoint Solutions.
  • Able to make delivery decisions at the team and product level, with input from Endpoint leadership.
  • Ability to develop and enhance scope of SRE offerings.
  • Understanding and knowledge of various internal roles (both business and technology) and how they interact with the product.
  • Ability to use design thinking techniques to ideate and collaborate with customers to design the product or service and ensure it meets their needs.
  • Strong network and ability to influence decisions within the business function.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions.
