About the position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Product Owner with our industry-leading client in Cleveland, OH. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days on-site in Cleveland. The API Product Owner is responsible for leading the definition of success for digital platform products. This role ensures the highest value features in line with the product's initiatives are identified, defined, and prioritized, while ensuring the expectations around cost are being managed. The Technical Product Owner will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, align with enterprise trends, and bring new API platform product features to market. This position requires a strong understanding of API design and integration, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in product ownership and business analysis, particularly in the context of API products.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for defining and executing the strategy for one or more API platform products.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, align with enterprise trends, and bring new API platform product features to market.
  • Responsible for Product Ownership role within the product portfolio assigned.
  • Provide product oversight for multiple product capabilities.
  • Manage multiple projects, assignments, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Facilitate meetings and follow up with resulting action items.
  • Develop business cases, make recommendations, and define success factors for major product enhancements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of IT/Business experience
  • 3+ years of experience in product ownership or business analysis, with a focus on API products preferred.
  • Knowledge of API design/integration work, development, and management best practices.
  • Experience with OpenAPI highly preferred.
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of a degree, at least 12 years in experience in the field of Information Technology or Business.
