About the position

The Technical Product Owner position is a permanent full-time role with a leading entertainment client located in Gainesville, Florida. This role is hybrid, requiring onsite presence as needed, and offers a competitive salary range of $130,000 to $140,000 per year. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of technical solutions within the manufacturing and operations sectors, ensuring that they meet both business and user requirements. The role demands a deep understanding of agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC), as well as hands-on technical leadership and project management experience. In this position, the Technical Product Owner will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and develop systems and procedures that are cost-effective and standardized. The candidate will leverage their extensive experience in business analysis and technical leadership to drive process improvements and resource management. The role requires a thorough understanding of testing practices and techniques, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards before deployment. The ideal candidate will possess a four-year college diploma or university degree in computer systems design, computer science, information technology, engineering, or business management, along with at least ten years of equivalent work experience. Product Owner and Scrum Master certifications are desired, as they will enhance the candidate's ability to lead agile teams effectively. This position is critical for the success of the client's projects, and the Technical Product Owner will play a key role in shaping the future of their technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of technical solutions in manufacturing and operations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate systems and procedures.
  • Drive process improvements and resource management within the organization.
  • Ensure that all products meet business and user requirements effectively.
  • Apply agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in product development.
  • Lead hands-on technical leadership and project management initiatives.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of testing practices and techniques to ensure product quality.

Requirements

  • Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer systems design, computer science, information technology, engineering, or business management.
  • Ten years of equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years' work experience in manufacturing/operations solutioning and business analysis.
  • Minimum of 5 years' work experience in hands-on technical leadership, project management, and process development/improvement.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in the assigned solution stack.
  • Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies and their practical application.
  • In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in product development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Product Owner and Scrum Master certification.
