About the position

The Technical Product Systems Engineering Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of product hardware engineering activities. This role involves leading integrated product teams, overseeing the development of technical documentation, and managing requirements for hardware systems. The manager will work on complex problems, providing innovative solutions while mentoring employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of product hardware engineering activities.
  • Lead integrated product teams with technical and non-technical members.
  • Oversee the development of technical documentation, including drawings and specifications.
  • Manage requirements for developmental and fielded hardware systems.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, identifying critical paths and risk mitigation activities.
  • Mentor and supervise employees in technical competencies.

Requirements

  • Experience leading an integrated product team.
  • Experience overseeing the development of technical documentation.
  • Experience with requirements management for hardware systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and approaches.
  • Ability to develop and maintain program schedules.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field and 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of experience.
  • Secret clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with military manned or unmanned vehicle systems.
  • Experience with development, integration, and testing of electromechanical hardware systems.
  • Knowledge of product design for manufacturability and ruggedization.
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
