About the position

The Technical Production Analyst 2 is a part-time role focused on optimizing production processes and driving efficiency improvements within manufacturing operations. This position involves analyzing production data, developing reports on key performance indicators, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements. The analyst will also support decision-making through statistical analyses and assist in the development of new production management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for production processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
  • Monitor production schedules and assist in optimizing resource allocation
  • Conduct statistical analyses to support decision-making in production planning
  • Identify and recommend solutions to production bottlenecks and quality issues
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new production management systems
  • Prepare and present analytical findings to management and stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in production analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical production analysis or related field
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting techniques
  • Experience with production management systems and supply chain management principles
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as SAS, R, or Python
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
  • Experience with production planning and scheduling
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and operations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective communication and presentation skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Manufacturing industry knowledge and experience a plus
