About the position

As a Technical Program Manager at Lam Research, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating breakthroughs that support strategic initiatives within the semiconductor industry. Your responsibilities will extend beyond mere project oversight; you will be at the forefront of innovation, leading cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution. This involves blending your technical expertise with strategic planning to deliver new or upgraded products that meet the evolving needs of the market. You will own technical projects from initiation through delivery, utilizing your skills in planning, directing, and monitoring schedules and budgets to achieve project goals. In this dynamic role, you will oversee the optimization or creation of technical product offerings, processes, or programs. This includes developing comprehensive project plans, aligning teams, managing risks, and driving projects through to release. You will take full ownership and accountability for the success of projects and cross-functional teams, ensuring that program schedules, performance metrics, and delivery meet business requirements on time and within budget. Your ability to partner with stakeholders will be crucial as you work to understand process and system requirements, delivering enhancements that align with a rapidly changing technology landscape. Additionally, you will run Continuous Improvement projects from inception to impactful results, performing data collection and statistical analysis to inform program schedules and deliverables. Your influence will extend to cross-functional stakeholders, inspiring continuous improvement and alignment across the organization. You will also be responsible for delivering change management for programs that are sustainable and maintain long-term success, all while successfully navigating multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the optimization or creation of technical product offerings, processes, or programs.
  • Develop project plans, align teams, manage risk, and drive projects through release.
  • Take ownership and accountability for the success of projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure program schedules, performance metrics, and delivery meet business requirements on time and within budget.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand process and system requirements and deliver enhancements.
  • Run Continuous Improvement projects from inception to impactful results.
  • Perform data collection and statistical analysis, and report results to inform program schedules and deliverables.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to continuously improve the process and inspire alignment.
  • Deliver change management for programs that are sustainable and maintain long-term success.
  • Successfully navigate multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 6+ years' experience; or a PhD with 3+ years' experience; or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of continuous improvement or technical program management experience.
  • Experience guiding cross-functional teams and demonstrating leadership and influence skills to deliver results.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills with the ability to present to audiences at all levels in the Company.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in or knowledge of Semiconductor fabrication, Semiconductor Equipment Operations, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of Program Management methods and experience in Product Development & Release (PDR) procedures.
  • Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or PRINCE2.
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma methodology or certification (Green Belt, Black Belt).
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Expertise with project management software and tools including MS Project, QuickBase, Office Timeline, or equivalent.
  • Experience in Change Management methodologies.
