About the position
The Technical Program Manager, Advanced at Zebra Technologies is responsible for leading agile cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment. This role focuses on meeting complex program goals related to product performance, quality, regulatory compliance, and budget management. The position requires collaboration with various departments, including Product Management and Marketing, to define products and solidify business cases, while also managing relationships with external partners.
Responsibilities
- Drive execution of solutions including concept definition, requirements validation, architecture specification, and governance compliance.
- Lead scaled Agile cross-functional innovation teams and promote agile capabilities within Zebra.
- Organize and lead scrum teams as an agile scrum master or release train engineer.
- Translate customer problems into solution requirements.
- Lead system integration planning, release management, and planning for demonstrations and pilots.
- Create cross-functional workstreams for sales enablement, development, and deployment.
- Build relationships across all relevant areas of the solution business including Sales, Services, IT, Finance, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Support.
- Define proof of value and customer return on investment.
- Present business, technical, and program reviews/status to Senior Leadership using digital media and JIRA.
- Execute program plans and budgets for multiple large projects, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Lead multiple limited to moderate scope projects or manage a larger program directly.
- Motivate project teams to ensure reliable and quality solutions in a collaborative manner.
- Coordinate deliverables and project assets to assist the project team, addressing obstacles as they arise.
- Support early stage go-to-market activities and transition to marketing.
- Develop and protect intellectual property and understand competitive landscape.
- Define strategic initiatives to align the business to agile product development.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- 8+ years of Engineering/Program management and Scrum Master experience in fast-paced environments.
- Experience managing Android Software Development projects.
- Strong strategic leadership and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Solid critical thinking and questioning skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with risk management experience.
- Experience with software development best practices including Scaled Agile, TDD, and Continuous Integration.
- Experience with Cloud development and Software/Services development integration.

- Experience with mobile application development for Android or iOS.
