About the position

The Technical Program Manager for AWS Aerospace Solutions will oversee the management of requirements, scope, and delivery of AWS Ground Station features and locations. This role involves working across various teams to ensure successful deployment and operation of satellite connectivity solutions, while also representing technical needs and managing risks associated with the program. The position requires a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences in the satellite communications domain.

Responsibilities

• Manage requirements, scope, and delivery of worldwide AWS Ground Station features and locations.
• Represent the service architecture and technical needs across Amazon, including spectrum licensing.
• Assess risks, anticipate issues, and overcome technical obstacles while managing cost and schedule.
• Drive deployment goals and meet customer commitments.
• Communicate program status to senior leadership and influence teams' decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 3+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and coordinating release schedules.
• 3+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure and complex systems.
• Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
• Knowledge of satellite and ground system communication systems and architectures.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
