About the position

The Technical Program Manager for AWS Mechanical/Thermal in Hardware Engineering Services is responsible for leading the design and development of server platforms and hardware components for Amazon Web Services. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with engineering and manufacturing partners, and ensuring the successful implementation of products at scale. Responsibilities

• Manage schedules and lead cross-functional teams in large meetings and small working groups.
• Drive multiple programs simultaneously, coordinating vendor and internal program workstreams.
• Write narratives and manage communications with stakeholders.
• Oversee the design, testing, certification, and integration of hardware components into final products.
• Align internal resources and vendor efforts to deliver high-quality products.
• Develop and manage technology roadmaps for product development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management experience with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, and quality management.
• Experience defining KPIs/SLAs for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
