AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Successful candidates will be analytical with excellent written and communication skills and be fully competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle and exhibit demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking. You will oversee the complete equipment qualification process, ensuring alignment across various teams and adherence to technical, operational, safety, quality, reliability, and business requirements on a global scale. You will develop and sustain a scalable mechanism to seamlessly integrate diverse teams and ensure that all power and cooling equipment undergo the required qualification tests. Collaboration with architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines, as well as material suppliers, will be essential to deliver high-quality designs that support favorable business outcomes. Additionally, you will support the Basis of Design release management program, ensuring and enabling end-to-end cross-team alignment, and support other business-critical programs enabling production readiness and other initiatives as required. You will possess strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with proficiency in project management tools, methodologies, and techniques across all project lifecycle phases. Demonstrating expertise in core project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risk management, reporting, and metric development/tracking, is crucial. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and MS SharePoint is required, while experience with Tableau, Kanban, SQL, and systems integration is a plus. You should exhibit passion and thrive on the challenges of deploying highly technical and innovative projects at a massive scale, possess knowledge of building codes and regulations, and understand critical data center equipment and have a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment/design related to data centers. The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and equipment specifications is also necessary.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience.
  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
  • Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules.
  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps.
