About the position

The Technical Program Manager - Data Engineering at BrickRed Systems is responsible for leading and managing large-scale technical programs that align with business strategies and drive organizational excellence. This role involves developing program vision and strategy, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration, and managing project dependencies and vendor relationships. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering programs that enhance technical capabilities and support the company's digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the program's vision, strategy, and deliverables in alignment with business strategies and budgets.
  • Own the program's business case and ensure effective cross-functional and regional coordination.
  • Manage project dependencies, contracts, vendor relationships, and communications.
  • Maintain responsibility for program objectives, ensuring alignment with financial and resource constraints.
  • Build and lead the program team to success.
  • Ensure proper staffing for all projects within the program and act as an escalation point for project issues.
  • Chair program steering committee meetings and provide leadership and guidance for the entire program lifecycle.
  • Engage with various teams to ensure alignment with overall project and business goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of directly relevant experience in technical program management.
  • Experience in defining tools and processes to support overall organizational excellence in program/project management.
  • Previous experience with JIRA and Confluence is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of data engineering program management is a plus.
  • Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and program financial management.

Nice-to-haves

  • CRM and Agile certifications are nice to have but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of data engineering program management is a huge advantage.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, Agile methodologies, and technical project management best practices.
