About the position

The Technical Program Manager for Fire Tablets at Amazon Lab126 is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to design and deliver innovative consumer products. This role involves collaborating with product management and executive teams to define strategies and requirements, managing the development process from design to delivery, and ensuring that software and services are aligned with launch timelines. The position requires effective communication with senior management regarding project status, risks, and changes, as well as overseeing team deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Engage with cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products.
• Work with key stakeholders in product management and executive teams to define strategy and requirements.
• Lead cross-functional development on new technology from design through delivery.
• Work with remote teams to deliver supporting software and services in sync with launch timelines.
• Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks, and change control.
• Manage assignments and oversee deliverables of team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
• 2+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
