About the position

The Technical Program Manager for Ground Infra Services at Amazon's Project Kuiper is responsible for overseeing the development and management of ground infrastructure necessary for the launch and expansion of broadband services globally. This role involves strategic planning, financial management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely delivery of infrastructure across multiple countries, addressing both technical and operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Developing country strategy to provide ground capacity for service launch/expansion.
• Tracking Gateways delivery health and holding owners across a dozen teams accountable and escalating when risk arises.
• Managing finances of each site.
• Coordinating legal entities and proper licenses for each site.
• Effectively navigating operational complexities in different countries, many of which Amazon has no presence in, that have language and cultural barriers.
• Communicating the progress and challenges within the working team and during VP level MBRs.
• Checking milestone activities status.
• Strategizing with regional teams on gateways delivery.
• Writing country entry docs.
• Reporting regional progress for MBR.
• Analyzing cost data to identify savings opportunities.
• Partnering with BizOps to unlock their revenue targets.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to develop tools and products that advance ground infra deployment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
